Alfresco

The Alfresco is up! Hopefully the roof tiles and ceiling will go in tomorrow.

More brickwork

The brickies arrived on site yesterday but I wasn't quite sure what they were there for. By the end of the day the front 'portico' (is that the word?) was up.

Painting

Today the painters began painting the outside of the upper floor. Can't remember the name of the paint, but it's definitely white!

The garage door and front door are both white too - George now thinks that maybe we've overdone it with the white. However neither of us could think what else we would like, not being into design, colour etc.

So white it is!

Upstairs windows

The upstairs seems to be rolling onwards but no changes downstairs yet.

All the windows were delivered and installed today - but only upstairs! They look massive - seriously concerned about how much $$$ are going to be needed to cover them in blinds or curtains.

Upstairs is plastered!

Well they've been busy over the past few days finishing off the plastering upstairs. The coving is in and it's starting to feel like a real house now.

I was quite surprised how high the ceilings are - I thought they'd be a bit lower.
