Scaffolding

Drove past yesterday and there was a crane on site. It was lifting the scaffolding onto the 1st floor. No bricks yet - maybe next week.

Drains and wiring

Popped over today and found that the drains for the upstairs bathrooms and toilets have been installed. Lots of wiring all over the place including the outside lighting.

Discovered something that seems a bit out of place on the 1st floor. There is a section overhanging the back of the garage above the day. Not sure how it got there or why we haven't noticed it before - really should've looked at those plans a bit more carefully!!

Concrete slab drying out

The slab has now been down for 10 days. Workmen have been in to remove the internal supports and the forming for the stairs. It's definitely lightened things up downstairs.

1st Floor Concrete Slab

On Tuesday after the Easter weekend the slab was poured. Today we ventured up the stairs and it looks great - actually bigger than I thought it would be.

You can see where the toilets and en-suites are situated and the stairs have been installed too. Kaye can be spotted at the back!
